Disk full: SSH drops and JSON writes truncate

Symptom

Files saved truncated and corrupt. New SSH sessions won't open.

Cause

The CMS stores the original plus 4–8 thumbnail sizes. Uploading ~1,000 items at once filled the 10GB quota in a day.

Four-layer defense

1. Shrink originals at upload (long edge 1000px, q78)
2. Generate only the thumbnail sizes actually used (measured: just 4)
3. A disk-monitoring cron
4. Cap the number of images the uploader sends

Recovered a third of the disk.
